The contractor’s self-inspection
The contractor's self-inspection is intended to ensure that the construction project maintains the quality agreed in the contract with the developer.
Self-inspection is a concept that means that a business operator shall itself check and document its work. The self-inspection is very important to ensure that all parts of a building project are carried out according to the contract documents.
The contract documents indicate the extent to which the contractor shall carry out and document the self-inspection. Normally, the client's requirement on the contractor's self-inspection consists of the inspection plan that has been established by the municipality's building committee. In addition to this, the client can require further inspection points if necessary.
